Mária Šipošová, 85, is a mathematician and lives in Bratislava, in one of the social housing complexes, to which she was transferred by the communist regime fifty years ago. She is a survivor of involuntary electroshock treatments during the years of the Russian occupation following the Prague Spring protests in 1968. Since then she has never left her country and continues to live in the remains of the past.
